Day 18/252. Acquainted with Mark.

My friend Sarah on the SBS wrote this yesterday on her Facebook status which I think sums up our morning better than I could! 'History! Exile, Prophecy, Medes and the Persians, Return, Temple, Walls, more prophecies, Macedonians, Alexander the Great, Rome, Antiochus, Antiochus humiliated, hellenization of Jews, Maccabees, Independence, Roman empire .... Jesus-the perfect storm.' Brain = full! but brilliantly so.

We read Mark through yesterday in one reading, it took 1.5 hours! Thought that was pretty epic but I don't think we've seen anything yet!
